WILLMAR -- Mary Irene Little, 81, of Willmar died Monday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today at the Spicer City Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
She was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Muskegon, Mich., to Archibald and Helen (Johnson) Little. She grew up in Flint, Mich., Gaylord and Marshall. She graduated in 1945 from Marshall High School and then St. Olaf College, with a degree in nursing.
She worked at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She later moved to Chicago, where she attended interior design school and worked as a clerk at City National and First American Banks. In 1956, she returned to Marshall and worked as a registered nurse at Weiner Memorial Hospital. In 1958, she moved to Duluth and worked at St. Mary's Hospital. In 1960, she moved to Willmar and worked at Bethesda Homes and West Central Industries. In 1962, she moved to Green Lake Manor in Spicer and, in 1976, to Ashwood Care Center in Willmar. She had lived at Rice Care Center in Willmar since 2004.
