MORRIS -- Mary Lorraine Denler, 78, died Saturday at West Wind Village having fought Alzheimer's disease for 13 years.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. Burial will be at Summit Cemetery in Morris.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Kenya Account - Outfitters.

She was born April 3, 1930, in Sorento, Ill., to John and Minnie (Rogers) Barnett. She attended grade school in Reading and Worthington. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1948 and then attended Northwestern Schools in Minneapolis.

She married Gene Denler on Dec. 20, 1952, in Taipei, Taiwan.

They served with the Navigators in the Philippines and Hong Kong from 1953 to 1975.

They moved to Morris in 2004 and attended Morris Community Church.

She is survived by her husband; children: Connie (and Paul) Hendricks of Morris, Gordon Denler of Morris, Ron (and Mary) Denler of Champlin, Norman (and Tina) Denler of Midlothian, Texas; 11 grandchildren, siblings: Jake (and Marge) Barnett of Bloomington and Ruth Myers of Colorado Springs, Colo.
