KERKHOVEN -- Maude Margaret Ernestine Jessen, 94, of Kerkhoven died Monday at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kerkhoven Lutheran Church in Kerkhoven. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Kerkhoven.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Kerkhoven and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
She was born Feb. 18, 1912, in Springwater Township, Rock County, to William and Emma (Sierks) Gregersen. She grew up in the Murdock area and attended District 38 Country School.

She married Herman Jessen on Feb. 12, 1935. They farmed in rural Hardwick until 1944, when they moved to their farm in rural Kerkhoven. She was a homemaker and assisted Herman on the farm. They retired from farming in 1972 and then moved to Kerkhoven in 1992. Herman died in 1997.
She was a member of Kerkhoven Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and in WELCA. She was also active with the Senior Citizens of Kerkhoven.
She is survived by her children: Emma (and Alan) Johnson of Willmar, Edwin (and Carole) Jessen of New Richmond, Wis., Evelyn (and Harold) Williams of Kerkhoven; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Vera Jessen of Willmar, Nettie (and Ernest) Manthey of Willmar, Lillian (and Donald) Kersbergen of Greeley, Colo., and Josephine Del Matio of Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one great-granddaughter; two brothers and two sisters.
