BENSON -- Shutout through two periods, Morris/Benson Area scored three times in the early minutes of the third frame and went on to claim a 4-1 win over visiting Moose Lake Saturday afternoon.
Polars' goalie Rachel Borschardt made 33 stops through two frames, allowing her team to cling to a 1-0 lead.
But goals by Brooke Anderson, Dani Staples and Emily Rajeswsky before the 12 minute mark quickly changed the game's tone.
Staples and Rajewsky now each have three goals after each scored twice in Tuesday's opener, a 7-0 road win over Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato.
Storm goalie, Hannah Horecka, stopped 26 shots Saturday for her second win. She's the only senior on a young MBA team that plays at Little Falls on Tuesday.
