WAHPETON, N.D. -- James Aayrs, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound center, led North Dakota State College of Science to a 94-83 win over Ridgewater College Monday. The sophomore out of Roseville piled up 19 points plus 15 rebounds in the Wildcats' 68-35 edge in rebounds.
Ridgewater, playing its third game in four days, shot 46 percent from the field (36 of 78) but got to the line only 11 times compared to 41 for NDSCS.
"It's a fun arena and we played a great Division I team," said Warriors' coach Bob Knutson. "We could have shot better but we fought hard all the way."
Derek Eisenschenk made four 3s to finish with 16 points followed by Ralph Viana with 15. Cory Nietfeld grabbed 10 rebounds and Tim Dreier added nine assists.
