BRAINERD -- Central Lakes scored quickly and often in the extra period Saturday to hand Ridgewater a 73-66 overtime loss in the final round of the Central Lakes Invitational.
Within the first minute of overtime Central Lakes netted five points to take control. The Warriors (3-7) couldn't catch up and were handed their fourth straight loss.
"We were tired. We were worn out," said Ridgewater coach Bob Knutson. "But it was our best game we played all year, start to finish."
David Johnson notched another double-double for Ridgewater with his 20 points and 10 rebounds. Travis Schultz also grabbed 10 rebounds while Allen Huselid drained three 3-pointers en route to scoring 11 points.
Ridgewater is off until Jan. 3, when it opens its MCCC Southern Division play in Rochester.
