SPICER -- Mercedes Ruby Masters, 90, of Spicer died Friday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in New London.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church, and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home in New London.
She was born Aug. 16, 1915, in New London Township to William and Elizabeth (Kelley) Wadsworth. She grew up in the Spicer and New London areas, where she attended school. She worked at Hultren and Interloken Lodge.

She married Glen Masters on Dec. 3, 1937, in Willmar. They lived in Pennock and later moved to New London, where they farmed. Glen died in 1949. She moved to Spicer and worked as a sales clerk for Holm Brothers in New London and Wonderall in Paynesville. She retired in 1979 and then volunteered as a driver until 2003.
She was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer and had served as a Sunday school teacher and treasurer, and also in the ladies aid.
She is survived by her children: Jack (and JoAnne) Masters of Granite Falls, Daryl (and Marlys) Masters of New London, Darlene (and Wayne) Thompson of Willmar, Glenyce (and Marvin) Gulbranson of Spicer; 16 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister.
