SANBORN -- Merlin Otto Kosel, 89, of Sanborn died Thursday at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sanborn. Burial will beat the church cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Sanborn American Legion.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
He is survived by his wife; five children, including Annette (and Chuck) Sportel of Roseland; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
