PENNOCK -- Michael Shawn Bengtson, 46, of Pennock died Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Pennock. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in New London.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
He was born Feb. 17, 1960, in Willmar to Elwood and Merrily (Gilbert) Bengtson. He lived in Kerkhoven until 1971, when he moved with his family to Willmar and later to Pennock. He graduated from Willmar High School in 1978.

He married Brenda Lee Nelson on Sept. 25, 1982. They lived in New London. He moved to Pennock in 1991. He was self-employed as a painter for 26 years.
He is survived by his daughters: Tifanie Bengtson of Spicer, Charline Bengtson of Minneapolis; one grandson; his mother of Pennock; and two sisters: Kathy Cain of Willmar and Lori (and Ken) Jabs of Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his father.
