Gustavus Adolphus junior Tanner Miest of New London posted the best qualifying time in the 110-meter hurdle preliminaries with a mark of 14.98 and bettered that with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 14.85 seconds to place first in the final at the Wartburg Select Meet last Saturday.
The performance earned Miest the MIAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week award.
