BIRD ISLAND -- Mildred Erna "Millie" Graves, 88, of Hutchinson, formerly of Bird Island, died Thursday at the Hutchinson Area Health Care Center.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bird Island. Burial will be at the Bird Island Cemetery.
Visitation will be for two hours prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Service of Bird Island.

She was born Dec. 19, 1917, in rural Bird Island to William and Bertha (Nenow) Buhman. She worked as a cook at the Bird Island Public School for many years and later worked for Fingerhut.
She married Glen Graves on July 7, 1973. They retired in 1981 and moved to Hector. Glen died in 1993. She moved to Hutchinson in 1999.
She had been a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bird Island.
She is survived by her daughter: JoAnn Jackson of Hutchinson; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother: Leland (and Kathryn) Buhman of Hutchinson; stepdaughter: Lynda (and Bill) Richardson of Anoka; and one stepgrandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; stepdaughter: Regina Birkholz; one brother and a former husband.
