DEER RIVER -- Mildred Lou Block, 78, of Deer River died July 20 in Deer River.
A private family burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Carroll Funeral Home in Deer River.
She was born Feb. 23, 1929, in Anamoose, N.D., to Christ and Anna Kolschefsky.
She married Donald. They farmed north of Kandiyohi for years. She also was employed by Molenaars until her retirement about 20 years ago. She moved to Spicer and then to Farmington for several years. Then she moved to Deer River.

She was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church; where she was a deaconess and active in the women's association and Bible study. She also went on mission trips.
She is survived by her daughter: Beverly (and Loren) Novak of Deer River.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
