WILLMAR -- Mildred Marjorie Evenson, 85, of Willmar died Saturday at Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home in Willmar.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Memorials are preferred to the Bethesda Foundation.
She was born May 22, 1921, in Lake Andrew Township to Martin and Minnie (Harbo-Johnson) Syverson. She grew up on the family farm in Lake Andrew Township.

She married Carroll Evenson on July 17, 1953. They lived in Minot, N.D., for a short time and then moved to Willmar, where they owned and operated a small café and service station. She was a homemaker and worked part-time as a dietary aide at Pleasant Vie Nursing Home. She had a stroke in 1979 moved to Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home.
She attended chapel services every Sunday, participated in many activities, and and served on the Residents Council.
She is survived by her husband; children: Simone (and David) Rambow of Cologne, Grayson Evenson (and Renae Giinthir) of Willmar; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
