MILROY -- Milroy won the Cornbelt South League title with a 12-2, seven-inning win over Sacred Heart in amateur baseball action Sunday.
The Yankees (24-7) will be the top seed from the Cornbelt South and the Saints the second seed for the Region 9C playoffs, which begin next Saturday. Pairings will not be available until Monday night.
Sacred Heart tied the game 1-1 in the second inning on a suicide squeeze by Matt Koenen that scored Jeff Hinderks.
Milroy retook the lead in the bottom of the frame, but the Saints tied it again on a Jeremy Hinderks solo home run in the fourth.
Milroy pitcher Nathan Duetz then retired the last 11 batters of the game, while the Yankees scored six run in the bottom of the fourth and four more in the seventh.

After the game, the two teams drafted two players each from the rest of the league for the upcoming region tournament.
Sacred Heart took pitchers Tyler Knott and Zach Nelson from Raymond.
Milroy took pitchers Tom DeBoer from Raymond and Curt Kvam from Granite Falls.
