MONTEVIDEO -- Miranda Lauritsen, 88, of Montevideo died Wednesday at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
She was born Feb. 4, 1919, in Chippewa County to Martin and Emma (Sachariason) Siverhus. She received her education in rural country school.

She married William Lauritsen on Sept. 23, 1947, in Montevideo. They operated a café in Wegdahl, showed outdoor movies and owned and operated the Milky Way Café on Black Oak Avenue from 1948 to 1964. She was also involved in the Lauritsen Septic and Digging operations.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the altar guild.
She is survived by her children: David (and Juanita) Lauritsen of Milan, Roger (and Glennis) Lauritsen; Robert (and Debbie) Lauritsen and Thomas Lauritsen (special friend Bobbi), all of Montevideo, and Sally (and Gary) Dandurand of Moorhead; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; her son, John in 1952; and three brothers.
