ST. PAUL (AP) -- Minnesota's transportation commissioner is resigning.
Tom Sorel plans to begin a new job as CEO of AAA Minneapolis on Dec. 1. Sorel has served at Department of Transportation commissioner since April 2008.
Gov. Mark Dayton has appointed Deputy Commissioner Bernie Arseneau to serve as acting commissioner.
AAA is a federation with more than 50 clubs throughout the U.S. and Canada and provides travel-related services.
