Montevideo man injured Tuesday night in one-vehicle crash near Montevideo

Timothy John Morseth, 59, of Montevideo, suffered non-life-threatening injuries after his vehicle rolled Tuesday night. He was transported by Montevideo Ambulance to the CCM Health emergency room in Montevideo.


MONTEVIDEO — A 59-year-old Montevideo man was injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Chippewa County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Timothy John Morseth suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by Montevideo Ambulance to the CCM Health emergency room in Montevideo.

According to the crash report, Morseth was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 59 in a 2006 Volvo XC70 when the car left the roadway and rolled near 30th Street Southwest in Sparta Township.


Alcohol was involved and it is unknown if he was wearing his seat belt, according to the State Patrol. His airbag did not deploy.

The Chippewa County Sheriff's Office also responded to the incident reported at 9:42 p.m. Tuesday.
