Classes disrupted by bomb threat

OLIVIA -- The Olivia Police and Fire departments responded to the BOLD school Nov. 20 after a bomb threat was discovered in the men's bathroom.

According to a news release Monday from the Olivia Police Department, the threat was discovered on the men's bathroom wall near the cafeteria. Students were moved to the gym while rooms and lockers were searched. No device was found.

A 15-year-old suspect was later identified by authorities. The case was forwarded to the Renville County Attorney for possible criminal charges Monday.

Lost Santa found

WILLMAR -- An inflatable Santa Claus lawn ornament reported stolen Saturday was found Sunday morning along the 1200 block of 12th Street Southeast.

The Santa was reported stolen to the Willmar Police Department around noon Saturday along the 400 block of Augusta Avenue Southeast. Authorities recovered the lawn ornament around 10:50 a.m. Sunday.

The inflatable Santa, valued at $70.

Assault

WILLMAR -- A Coke delivery man was reportedly assaulted Monday morning by a client at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center, 1550 U.S. Highway 71 Northeast.

The delivery man was allegedly filling a machine at the center Friday when a 22-year-old man -- a client at the treatment facility -- began choking him from behind.

Burglary

WILLMAR -- The burglary and theft of items was reported to the Willmar Police Department around 12:25 p.m. Monday along the 1000 block of Olaf Avenue Northwest.

A laptop computer, Xbox game console and games were reported stolen as a result of the burglary.

Theft

WILLMAR -- The theft of a 9 mm Torres PT909 silver pistol was reported to the Willmar Police Department around 7:45 p.m. Sunday along the 1400 block of Fifth Street Southwest.

Vandalism

WILLMAR -- Damage to windows on two separate vehicles was reported to the Willmar Police Department Monday morning along the 700 block of Sixth Street Southeast. Both incidents were reported from the same address. The first report was received around 5:30 a.m. and the second report was received around 6:10 a.m.

WILLMAR -- Damage to eight windows at a home was reported to the Willmar Police Department around 11:05 a.m. Monday along the 200 block of Anthony Street Southeast. The eight windows were reportedly broken between Friday and Monday.
