Public's help sought to find stolen vehicle

WILLMAR -- Anyone with information regarding a stolen 1999 Ford Taurus belonging to a disabled Willmar man is urged to call the Willmar Police Department at 235-2244.

The vehicle, which was stolen around 1 p.m. Jan. 14 from the Super America station, 415 South First St., is white in color and has Minnesota handicapped plate number 9934 HJ.

Officers investigate weapons incident

WILLMAR -- Officers investigated, but were unable to locate, the origin of shots from a small caliber weapon reported around 11 a.m. Monday morning.

A Housing and Redevelopment Authority employee reported that he and another man were working at Valleyside Homes, 3183 Seventh Ave. N.W., when they were shot at. They believed the shots originated from the Regency West Estates.

Theft

NEW LONDON -- The theft of chains and tie-downs was reported around 9 a.m. Monday from Windy Hill Auto Parts, 9200 240th Ave. N.E.

WILLMAR -- The theft of about 30 compact discs was reported around 9:50 a.m. Monday along the 400 block of 30th Street Northwest.

Property damage

SPICER -- A damaged mailbox was reported around 11 a.m. Monday along the 11100 block of Highway 71 Northeast. The caller said someone pulled into the driveway, got out of the vehicle and urinated, and then backed the vehicle over their mailbox. The replacement value was estimated at $100.

Woman arrested after one-vehicle accident

LITCHFIELD -- A 34-year-old Paynesville woman was arrested for driving while impaired after a one-vehicle accident around 4:30 a.m. Sunday along U.S. Highway 12. According to Meeker County Sheriff Mike Hirman, the woman was transported to Meeker County Memorial Hospital for evaluation and then was arrested for DWI.

Property damage

GROVE CITY -- A case of criminal damage to property was reported around 3:15 p.m. Sunday along 545th Avenue. The locks had been cut from the doors of three outbuildings, but the owner told the deputy that he didn't find anything missing.

GROVE CITY -- Property damage was reported around 6:20 p.m. Sunday along 545th Avenue. The party told Meeker County law officials that windows had been shot out of a house.
