Kristen Moritz and Jeremy Pierce, both of Pennock, are engaged to be married Sept. 4 at Peace Lutheran Church in New London.
Moritz is the daughter of Jack and Val Moritz of Valley City, N.D.
She is a 2001 graduate of Valley City High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Minnesota-Morris with a bachelor's degree in political science and speech communication. She received her law degree in 2010 from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul.
Pierce is the son of Ron and Diane Pierce of Pennock.
He is a 1997 graduate of New London-Spicer High School in New London and a 1999 graduate of Ridgewater College with an associate degree in farm business management. He is a farmer with Pierce Farms.
