Multiple departments are responding a major grass fire southeast of Sunburg

Update 12:45 p.m.

Multiple fire departments are responding to a grass fire currently burning southeast of Sunburg.

The fire is located along 210 Avenue North and west of Kandiyohi County Road 1.

A farmer was observed attempting to create a fire break between the fire and a farm house in the area.

The fire is burning on some set-aside acreage and corn stubble acreage.

The Sunburg Fire Department is the lead fire department, the New London Fire Department has responded and a third department is in route.
