KERKHOVEN -- A 53-year-old Murdock man died Tuesday in a car crash just north of Kerkhoven.
According to the Swift County Sheriff’s Office, Robert Fischer was pronounced dead at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, where he had been transported following the crash.
The one-vehicle crash happened around 12:45 p.m. Fischer drove his vehicle into a ditch on Swift County Road 35 near 80th Street, the sheriff’s office said.
He was unresponsive when deputies and emergency responders from Kerkhoven Ambulance and Fire Departments arrived on the scene.
An autopsy is pending, the sheriff’s office said, and the incident is still under investigation.
