MONTEVIDEO -- Myhra Minnie Frengen, 101, of Montevideo died Tuesday at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

She was born March 13, 1905, in Montevideo to Charles and Edith (Manthey) Olson. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1925. She worked as a bookkeeper at Farmer's Creamery.

She married Sigvart Frengen on June 12, 1927. They lived in Montevideo. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Co-op Oil Company for 10 years and at the Co-op Credit Union for six years. She was the treasurer of the Senior Citizens Club of Montevideo and received an honorary award from Gov. Perpich for her hard work.

She was a member of a birthday club and a square dancing club. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, taught Wednesday school, was active in altar guild and ladies aid, and was treasurer of the Priscilla Circle.

She is survived by one daughter: Dennes (and Loren) Kostad of West St. Paul; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister: Evelyn Stroh of Harlinger, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1959; one brother and two sisters.
