WILLMAR - A section of U.S. Highway 71 North in Willmar will be closed for up to five hours during the work day Monday.
The road will be closed between the U.S. Highway 71/Highway 23 "split" and Kandiyohi County Road 27 starting at 9 a.m. Traffic will be routed on County Roads 27 and 9 during the short detour.
The detour is part of the Highway 23 resurfacing project, which allows crews to complete grinding and permanent striping operations.
Motorists are urged to drive with caution and slow down in the work zone. Drivers should never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
