The recount of the U.S. Senate ballots is open to the public although seating may be limited in some counties. Counties in the region have set the following details.

The recount of the U.S. Senate ballots is open to the public although seating may be limited in some counties. Counties in the region have set the following details.

Chippewa County: One team will begin the recount at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the assembly room at the courthouse, 629 N. 11th St. in Montevideo.

Kandiyohi County: The recount will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the lower level of the Kandiyohi County office building, 400 Benson Ave. S.W. and in the conference room of the Willmar City Office Building at 333 Sixth St. S.W. There will be three teams working at each location.

Lac qui Parle County: One team will be counting ballots, starting at 9 a.m. Friday in the commissioners' room at 600 Sixth St. in Madison.

Meeker County: Two teams will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday in the level one community room in the courthouse, 325 Sibley Ave. N. in Litchfield.

Pope County: One or two teams will begin the recount at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the commissioner room at 130 E. Minnesota Ave. in Glenwood.

Renville County: Two teams are set to begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. They will work in Room 116 at the County Office Building, 105 S. Fifth St., Olivia.

Swift County: One team will be counting ballots, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the commissioners room in the courthouse, 301 14th St. N. in Benson.

Yellow Medicine County: One team will begin the recount at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the boardroom at the courthouse, 415 Ninth Ave. in Granite Falls.
