GLENWOOD -- A 25-year-old New London man was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-car rollover accident around 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
According to Pope County Sheriff Tom Larson, Matthew Spillman failed to navigate a curve in the road along County Road 6. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled several times. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.
The crash happened sometime overnight in Lake Johanna Township. Spillman was alone in the vehicle. Assisting at the scene were the Minnesota State Patrol, Brooten Ambulance and Pope County Coroner.
