The Morris Tigers and Minnewaska Area Lakers will play the inaugural football game at the new Big Cat Stadium Friday night.
Completion of the $2.5 million project came in less than four months and in time for both the high school and college opener.
The stadium is built into a hill between the University of Minnesota-Morris and the high school.
The Minnesota-Morris Cougars open their season on Saturday, hosting Lawrence (Wis.) University.
