GRANITE FALLS - Peggy Heglund will serve as the new administrator for Yellow Medicine County.

Heglund is currently the family services director for the county.

The commissioners offered Heglund the position late Tuesday after a second round of interviews with three finalists: Heglund; Michelle May, county finance manager; and Patrick Bruflat, director of the social services in Redwood County.

The commissioners approved Heglund’s selection on a unanimous vote.

Heglund was out of the office and unavailable for comment on Wednesday, but a staff member said she had indicated she will be accepting the offer.

She will succeed Ryan Krosch, who resigned to accept a position in Nicollet County.
