CLARKFIELD -- Nicholas Heimer Johnson, 16, of Clarkfield, died Nov. 1 at Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The service will be at 2 p.m. today at Clarkfield Lutheran Church in Clarkfield. Burial will be at Fridhem Cemetery in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County.
Arrangements are with Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.
He was born Feb. 7, 1990, in Montevideo to Todd and Jolene (Moechnig) Johnson.

He was a junior at Yellow Medicine East High School in Granite Falls. He was involved in wrestling, baseball, FFA, the school musical, Knowledge Bowl and was a church youth leader.
He is survived by his parents; siblings: Brooke, Logan, Dylan, Rachel; his grandparents: Alvern and Karen Johnson of Clarkfield, John Moechnig of Lake City, John and Beverly Kackmann of Lake City; great-grandmother: Elvira Lichtblau of Lake City.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Heimer and Alice Johnson, Ervin and Grace Sulflow, Wesley and Eleanor Moechnig, and Julius Lichtblau.
