WORTHINGTON, Minn. - The Nobles County sheriff is investigating after a car was found upside down under a bridge with two bodies inside.
Those killed were 25-year-old Patrick Theodore Bartman of Worthington and 24-year-old Kelli Jo Cordes of Fairmont.
Authorities believe their vehicle went over a guard rail on Read Avenue in Worthington and landed upside-down in Okabena Creek, but they don't know when it happened.
Sheriff Kent Wilkening says the vehicle was spotted Saturday by a woman walking along the roadway. It was covered by debris and couldn't be seen from the bridge.
Bartman and Cordes were last seen in Adrian on April 25. They were reported missing a week ago. No foul play is suspected.
