SAUK CENTRE -- Phil Cleary of Willmar nearly advanced to the final leg of the St. Cloud Cathedral Sprint Race Tuesday at Greystone Golf Club.
Cleary placed second in the first leg to advance to the next 1K sprint, where he placed third, about 30 seconds from moving into the final 1K race.
Senior Emily Fagerstrom finished sixth in the first wave and seventh in the second wave to pace the Willmar girls.
