Jake Nordin, a 6-3, 262-pound Northern Illinois University senior tight end from Lake Lillian, broke his left leg in the second quarter last Saturday against Ball State in Muncie, Ind. and will miss the remainder of the season.
Nordin caught one pass for four yards in the game. He is the Huskies' third-leading receiver with 14 catches for 159 yards this season.
Northern Illinois won the game, 40-28, to improve to 3-2.
NFL scouts have been high on Nordin because of his blocking and pass-catching abilities. He has 54 career receptions.
