PENNOCK -- Norine Orpha "Nicky" Butler, 84, of Pennock died Friday at Bethesda Heritage in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Pennock. Burial will be a later date in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Harvey Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born April 2, 1924, in Jeffers to George and Hazel (Evans) Dirks. She grew up in the Jeffers area. The family later moved to Svea. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1942.

On Sept. 25, 1943, she married John Butler in Svea. Following their marriage they lived in Willmar until moving to Oregon later that year. While living in Oregon, her husband was inducted into the Army and she returned to the Willmar area. Following his discharge in 1945, they moved to Spicer where she worked as an egg candler. They later managed the George House Lodge in Spicer. They moved to the Eagle Lake area and then moved to Pennock in 1959. She worked at Montgomery Wards in Willmar until it closed. She then worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's shop in Pennock.
She was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church and had been active with the church circle. They were members of a card club in the Pennock area and she participated in league bowling for many years.
Surviving is her husband; son, Gerry (and Ruth Ann) Butler of New London; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
