DAWSON -- Norma Alice Heise, 89, of Dawson, died Sunday at the Madison Lutheran Home in Madison.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Providence Valley Lutheran Church, rural Dawson. Entombment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Garden Cemetery, rural Montevideo.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Hanson and Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
She was born Nov. 18, 1918, in Canby, to Tedwell and Gunda (Orvold) Rogne. She attended District 81 School in Hammer Township and graduated in three years from Canby High School.

She married Alvin Heise on Sept. 15, 1937. They farmed for nearly 35 years in the Canby, Madison and Dawson communities. She worked for 25 years as a nursing assistant and medication aide for the Dawson Nursing Homes.
She was a member of the Lac Qui Parle Horticulture Society and The Sons of Norway and was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels. She was named Lac Qui Parle County Outstanding Senior Citizen for her volunteer efforts.
She moved into the Madison Lutheran Home in 2006.
She is survived by sons: Wayne of Dawson, Marlin of St. Paul, and Wally (and Sue) of Isle; daughter-in-law: Carol Newman of Springdale, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and four sisters.
