DARWIN -- Norman Eugene Finstrom, 72, of Darwin died Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital.
The service will be at 11 a.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel.
Burial will be at Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
He was born July 8, 1934, in Kerkhoven to Elmer and Mildred (Johanson) Finstrom. The family moved to Kandiyohi when he was a child. He attended school in Kandiyohi and later at Willmar High School. When he was a teenager, he and his brother took over the work on the family farm after the death of their father.

He married Jessie Jones on July 19, 1963, in Wayzata. They lived in Dassel and then moved to Darwin in 1974. He worked as a union carpenter in the Twin Cities area.
He is survived by his wife; and siblings: Russell of Kerkhoven, Marvin (and Jeri) of Lester Prairie, Dorothy Putnam of St. Paul, Marlys Bryan of Bloomington, Judy (and Marlen) Hagen of New Hope, and Audrey Bergum of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
