MONTEVIDEO -- Norman E. Hagen, 95, of Montevideo died Tuesday at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Big Bend Lutheran Church in rural Milan. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
He was born Nov. 13, 1910, in Milan to Edward and Ida (Einerson) Hagen. He graduated from Milan High School in 1928 and from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, in 1932. He farmed in rural Milan for many years. He moved to Brookside Manor in Montevideo in 1996, and then to Luther Haven Nursing Home.

He was a member of Big Bend Lutheran Church and served in many capacities, including on the church board and as a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Gideons, a camera club, Farmers Union Board, an elevator board and the Sons of Norway. He had a photograph published on the cover of the Picture Magazine of the Minneapolis Sunday paper.
He is survived by a niece: Ruthie (and Raylyn) Bye of Onamia; and two great-nephews.
He was preceded in death one sister.
