WILLMAR -- The struggles of Ridgewater College men's soccer against superior competition continued Saturday with a 9-0 loss to North Iowa Area Community College at Kennedy Field.
"We shouldn't have lost that badly," said Edel Fernandez, coach of the first-year varsity program. "We played poorly; we did not pass the ball."
Mike Unwin, an imposing 6-3 striker, scored four times. He's one of eight players on the Trojan roster from England.
Ridgewater is 1-6 playing in the NJCAA Division I Iowa Conference, but plays at Dakota County in Rosemount on Wednesday, a team they defeated earlier 4-3.
