WILLMAR - The state’s 98th case of avian influenza was reported Thursday.
The Minnesota Board of Animal Health said a commercial turkey flock in Renville County is the latest farm to be affected by the highly pathogenic H5N2 bird flu.
This is the fifth case reported in Renville County.
So far, more than 8 million commercial turkeys and chickens have either died from the disease or been euthanized to prevent the spread of the virus.
