MONTEVIDEO -- Olaf Martin "Ole" Fremo, 101, of Montevideo died Sunday at his home in Homefront in Montevideo.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Baxter in Montevideo. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening at Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo, with the family from 5 to 7 p.m.
He was born Jan. 6, 1905, in Camp Release Township, Lac qui Parle County, to Jens and Carrie (Borton) Fremo. He graduated from Montevideo High School in 1923.

He married Myrtle Belsaas on June 20, 1931. He farmed on the Fremo homestead in Camp Release Township, Lac qui Parle County, for many years. They moved to Montevideo in 1993 and then to Homefront Assisted Living in 2000.
He was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Baxter and served as a council member and Luther League leader. He served as clerk of District 16 Schools, was the Lac qui Parle Assessor for Camp Release Township, and was a member of the Sons of Norway.
He is survived by his wife; daughter: Audrey Hanson of Granite Falls; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son-in-law: M.E. Hanson; and two sisters.
