None of the injuries were life-threatening, according to a news release by the Minnesota State Patrol.

Both vehicles were southbound on U.S. Highway 71 when the accident occurred, which was around 4:40 p.m. A 2011 Ford Fusion driven by Allyson Lammers, 20, of Redwood Falls, pulled into the left turn lane to turn onto Pine Avenue West. A 2001 Buick Lesabre, driven by Penny Konold, 42, of Morton, was following and rear-ended the Ford, according to patrol reports.

There was a 15-year-old passenger in the Ford who also had injuries that were not life-threatening.

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office, Olivia Police Department and Olivia Ambulance responded to the crash.
