One hurt in Pope County in late Saturday night accident east of Glenwood

A Circle Pines man was hurt when his vehicle left Highway 28 and rolled east of Glenwood.

GLENWOOD — A 37-year-old Circle Pines man was treated at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood for non-life threatening injuries he suffered in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 28 east of Glenwood at 11:07 p.m. Saturday.

Jose Jesus Vargus was driving a Mazda 6 westbound on Highway 28 when the vehicle ran off the road and rolled, coming to a stop on its wheels, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

He was wearing his seat belt and alcohol was not a factor.

The Pope County Sheriff's Office , Glenwood Police and Fire Department and Minnesota State Patrol responded.
