WILLMAR -- One person was transported to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar for treatment of minor injuries suffered in a two-car crash at 1:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of 26th Avenue Northeast and First Street North in Willmar.
Karen Huisinga, 34, of Willmar was transported by Willmar Ambulance after the 2001 Buick she was driving and a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Mariel Aamot, 16, of Willmar, collided.
Two people in the Huisinga car, Jane Huisinga, 51, no address given, and Jake Huisinga, 1, of Willmar, were not hurt. Aamot was alone and was not hurt.
The Buick received rear-end damage and blocked traffic near the middle of the intersection. Police detoured northbound traffic on First Street onto 19th Avenue Northeast for a time.
The Volkswagen received front-end damage and went into the ditch on the west side of First Street.

The crash was investigated by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office. Also called to the scene were the Willmar Police Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Willmar Ambulance and Willmar Fire Department.
