Open house on Hwy. 23 project set in Maynard

WILLMAR -- Information on an upcoming project to repair the concrete surface of Minnesota Highway 23 from near Granite Falls to Clara City will be offered at an open house from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Maynard Community Center, 321 Mabel Street.

WILLMAR -- Information on an upcoming project to repair the concrete surface of Minnesota Highway 23 from near Granite Falls to Clara City will be offered at an open house from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Maynard Community Center, 321 Mabel Street.

Minnesota Department of Transportation staff and contractor representatives will be available to discuss the project, which is scheduled to begin June 8.

The concrete repair project begins 600 feet south of the Highway 23/Highway 7 junction in Clara City to the Highway 23/ Highway 212 junction east of Granite Falls. The project includes removing and replacing deteriorated concrete.

Highway 23 traffic will be detoured south on Chippewa County Road 2/Renville County Road 9, then west on U.S. Highway 212 to Highway 23.
