WILLMAR -- Orville V. Kallevig, 80, of Willmar died Sunday at Rice Memorial Hospital.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and prior to the service at the church. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion and VFW posts of Willmar.
He was born April 22, 1922, in Willmar Township to Mattias and Sena (Emberland) Kallevig. He grew up in rural Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1943. He served in France and Germany with the U.S. Army during World War II. After his discharge, he worked on the railroad and at the Naval Shipyards in Long Beach, Calif. He later returned to Willmar and farmed.

He married Edna Skogstoe on Nov. 9, 1956, in Kerkhoven. They lived and farmed northwest of Willmar for many years.
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, served on the District 781 School Board, was a member of the American Legion and VFW posts and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by his wife; five sons: Tom (and Pam) of Lino Lakes, Gayle (and Gayla) of Willmar, Glenn of Foley, Greg (and Renee) of Bloomington, Ill., Dane of Willmar; seven grandchildren; and one brother: Lloyd (and Eleanor) Kallevig of Wadena.
He was preceded in death by infant daughter: Jane; three brothers and two sisters.
