A Fridley attorney and the director of a state lawyer oversight board will assume two vacant Washington County judgeships.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty Thursday announced B. William Ekstrum and Kenneth L. Jorgensen will replace retiring judges Stephen L. Muehlberg and Gary J. Meyer. Both new judges will work in the courthouse in Stillwater. Jorgensen and Ekstrum were picked from 40 people who applied for the two Washington County positions.
