WILLMAR -- Andrew Nicklawsky won both the 100 and 200 freestyle races but the Willmar Cardinals were overmatched against Fergus Falls on Thursday in a Central Lakes Conference dual meet. Nicklawsky surged in the last 10 yards to win the 200 by .08.
The talented Otters won 90-74 to improve to 3-0 in dual meets, plus a first- and second-place finish in two invitationals.
"We're young," said Willmar coach Carl Shuldes. "No seniors this year, but we've got some fine young swimmers. We're building."
Willmar lost the 200-free relay by a touch with Kyle Schmidt, Matt Fuglestad, Jackson Roberts and Nicklawsky timing 1:39.89.
