MONTEVIDEO -- Paula Jean Knight, 69, of Montevideo, died Saturday at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be this afternoon and evening with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born on March 3, 1937 in Oakland, Calif. to Floyd and Maud (Dillman) Ennis. She grew up in Van Nuys and graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1955.

She married Melvin Sammons in 1955 in Van Nuys. After their marriage ended she lived for several years in North Hollywood, Calif. before moving to Montevideo in 1976.
She married Warren Knight on March 27, 1987. She worked for many years at MTI and Innovex before retiring in 1999. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and was a member of the church choir. Along with her husband, she was a member of the Minnesota Valley Antique Farm Power Machinery Association and Heritage Hill.
She is survived by children: Russell (and Carolina) Sammons of Walnut, Calif., Harold (and Tammy) Sammons of Citrus Heights, Calif., Gordon (and Kim) Sammons of Reno, Nev., Kathy (and Jon) Nelson of Montevideo and Lewis (and Treva) Sammons of Ellsworth; 14 grandchildren; and a sister: Susan (and Terry) Aldridge of Lake Zurich, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005.
