VILLARD -- Pauline "Polly" Ramey, 90, of Alexandria, formerly of Villard, died Wednesday.

The service will be at 2 p.m. April 22 at New Life Christian Church in Alexandria. Burial will be at Lake Amelia Cemetery in Villard.

Arrangements are with the Cremation Society of Minnesota. Memorials are preferred to the New Life Christian Church building fund.

She was born April 10, 1916, in Blue Earth County to Oren and Sarah (McDonald) Lord. She went to country school and graduated from Madelia High School.

She married Russell Ramey on April 2, 1938, in Redwood Falls. They farmed in Redwood County until 1956, then moved to Villard and farmed until 1977, when they retired and moved to Alexandria. She moved to the Knute Nelson Home in Alexandria in 2002.

She was a member of RSVP, Douglas County Hospital Auxillary, volunteered at Bethany Home and was involved in 4-H and church activities.

She is survived by her children: Faye (and Don) Erickson Strong of Mankato, Bonnie Jo Stang of Red Wing, Mary (and Bob) Mertens of Villard, Paul (and Jeanette) Ramey of Glenwood City, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister: Marie Garnett of Paris, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004.
