In 10 games this season, Adam Paulson has made at least two 3-pointers in each contest. But the Lac qui Parle Valley junior guard has been scorching the nets of late.
In the last three games, Paulson has drained 15 treys, including a career-high seven Tuesday against unbeaten Montevideo. Paulson's efforts helped the Eagles (7-3) run off seven straight wins until being outgunned 93-84 by the Thunder Hawks Tuesday.
"I've generally been told that I have a good jump shot," said Paulson, who is tied with Willmar's Kyle Townswick for the area lead in three-pointers with 40. "It's a little surprising that I've made this many three-pointers, but it feels pretty good when the ball leaves by hand."
Paulson opened the season by canning five treys against Renville County West. Two weeks later the Eagles' second-leading scorer (16.3 ppg) connected on six shots from beyond the arc -- then a career high. After LQPV opened the season with two losses, the Eagles won seven straight, a span in which Paulson made 25 three-pointers.
"We started believing and were playing more team ball," said Paulson of the winning streak. "We're now getting into the flow of playing with each other."

Paulson gets his fair share of three-point attempts, but knowing that coach Robyn Rademacher will let him shoot anytime makes it more comforting.
"It gives me more confidence knowing that I have the green light to shoot," he said.
