WILLMAR -- The final bituminous paving began Tuesday on Willmar Avenue between Business 71 and the County Road 23 bridge over the Highway 71/23 Bypass.
There is also paving under way on Lakeland Drive south and north of Willmar Avenue.
According to the Kandiyohi County Public Works Department, the required paving should be completed by Friday.
Traffic is being diverted around the project via First Street to U.S. Highway 12 and County Road 9.
Motorists are reminded to slow down for their safety and the safety of the workers as construction continues. Duininck Bros Inc. of Prinsburg is the prime contractor.
